Putting Garlic in Ear will Help Relieve Earaches and Headaches
I saw a post on Facebook today that gave a very unusual tip on how to relieve earaches and headaches.
Not only will garlic ward off vampires, but apparently it will ward off some dreaded pain. Putting a clove of garlic in your ear like an earplug actually helps remove ear pain and headaches.
Take a clean peeled clove of garlic and gently place it in the opening of your ear, like you would an earplug. After a short while, you’ll start to feel a heat sensation spreading through your ear and then the pain and irritation will begin to subside. Leave the clove in your ear for at least 30-35 minutes or longer and if you want you can even leave it in overnight.
So why does this help relieve ear pain and headaches? Garlic has many health benefits that include antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. It also has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. When eaten, garlic can help boost your immune system and help fight infection, according to Healthline.
If you’re like me, you are probably thinking that this is very bizarre. I had to Google this because in all my years, I didn’t know that putting garlic in your ear would help fight ear pain and headaches. I have gotten plenty of both in my day, so this would have been nice to know way before now.
It should be noted that you don’t want to shove a garlic clove into your ear. That would just end in a trip to the doctor to get it removed after it has been stuck. Not what you want.
